8.18.10 wednesday

I left kids with laney and papa in long beach to pickup Maggie in aa-then on to ikea for a shopping spree. We took g and g's huge white vehicle and filled it up!

New couches and tables. Wooooooo

Tuesday 8.18.10

Hung around the house with gr laney then had to get out - we ended up at the Michigan city zoo.
The spider-monkeys put on a show for us- playing chase ,,,, it was hilarious. Hazel freaked in the reptile house when a huge toad jumped. She did a 3 stooges run and dove to the ground ; I was laughing hard and got very disapproving looks from strangers..... I announced that I was "sorry but she looked so funny!". It didn't help the cause.

Monday 8.17.10

The kids and I headed to long beach in the am. We arrived and headed straight to the beach to meet up with the Brewe- crew. Fee had a hard time playing with Asher and Matilda - after an exhausting bch trip we went to dick and betty's for pizza. My gang were a bunch of train wrecks.... Ugh.

Sunday 8.16.10

I put the last of the bed together then we all headed up to island lake but ended up at spring mill pond! It was sooooo pretty. The water was really clear and even hazel was excited to get in. The boys and I swam across the whole thing. Asher was really brave- fee too but he was nervous about the loch ness monster. We got in the car to head home just as a huge rainstorm began.

Saturday 8.14.10

Q: What could be better than taking two tired kids to ikea on a Saturday?

A: I guess nothing, cuz I did it.


Tried lazing about the house (hot/muggy/grey/rainy) but we were all ready to get out after lunch. I took the boys to ikea to pick out a bunk bed! We are going to move them down to the guest room soon hopefully.....
They are both scared to sleep on the first floor without us.
I spent the evening (til 3 am and didn't even finish!) putting the thing together.

Friday 8.13.10

To allergy shot, where fee told the tech to give me 10 million shots in my butt. On to jump city to meet a few if asher's schoolmates from kindergarten. It was fun/exhausting for all.

Isabel took the boys to her attic to find toys in afternoon.



Met simon and his folks with the boys for after dinner park fun at fuller.
