Wednesday 4.28.10

I got ANOTHER root canal in the a.m.- Maggie home with hazel. I went to Asher' school for the 'goodbye picnic' for mrs cook (the student tchr in asher's classroom). It was sunny and hot! Later we all went to belize park for family fun. Dinner outside:):):)

Tuesday 4.27.10

Maggie home today. We were excited so we headed east right after lunch aiming for ford lake in Ypsilanti. We saw a cool looking park b4 the lake so we stopped there to play. Hazel crawled under a slide-and a duck flew out! It had a nest of 10 eggs under there! We made it to the airport with time left for the boys to hide behind a garbage can to surprise maggie.
They sat there for 10 minutes.

Monday 4.26.10

Sunny and windy day. Boys to school. Simon over to play after. The big boys were a lot better with Felix this time.
Rode bikes at cul de sac. We were using sidewalk chalk on the street until mr green came out and told me I'm sending the wrong message to the kids ("go ahead into other neighborhoods and do graffiti" as he put it). I apologized and the boys stopped chalking. After dinner we went to hunt park to fly a kite. It was a beautiful evening- the wind had died down a bit- we only got the kite up for a couple seconds. Hazel kept walking on the string and tripping then screaming. It was fun anyway.

Sunday 4.25.10

Played around and colored in the morning. To the y for family swim after lunch. The fountains were on in the shallow area which the boys loved karate-ing and added to the white noise to cover up hazel's periodic screaming. Kroger afterwards for sunday dinner supplies -in the pouring rain. Sunday dinner at Tom and carol's.

Saturday 4.24.10

Rainy and cold. Wild house play in the morning followed by a trip to Hollywood park and abbot elementary playground during a break in the weather. Asher is being really patient and sweet with Felix for the most part. I think he is stepping it up during maggie's absence.

Friday 4.23.10

I went back to the dentist in the a.m.- Maggie home with hazel. In afternoon, we all went to mixtwood park for some family fun before Maggie's trip to Vancouver in the evening. We drove her to the airport- the kids were sad but easily cheered by nerds ropes.
