7.16.10 Friday

Asher and fee enjoyed the 'kid station' at the allergists.

Hotness again--- I took the kids to my allergy shot appt. We did some ice cube painting later in the afternoon. I now have the bad head cold that fee and H have.

7.15.10 thursday

The kids were visiting the zoo- and I was the zookeeper in the pen with the vicious wiener dogs.



The back of the bus provides a hypnotic view out the front of the bus.

Played around the house all morning- the boys are still totally into lazy summer days- it has been really hard to get them out of their pj's. It was crazy hot and humid today so they really only wanted to play in the house. In the afternoon however, hazel stayed home with isabel and the boys and I rode the bus to get haircuts with grace downtown. we walked to the library before catching the bus home.

Hazel said 'isabel' today- it sounds like 'uh-bow'- cute.

Wed 7.14.10

Took all 3 to park playdate at Bach. It was mega-hot but pretty fun. Hazel had a rough night sleeping - really nasty cough but did fairly well for awhile. Maggie home at lunchtime- all to vets pool---- so crowded. Asher didn't swim- because he couldn't wear his mask in the water there (pool rule). He spent the entire 2 hours pouting in the shade. He finally perked up at home later and played UNO with Maggie.
Hazel says 'iPad' now.

7.13.10 Tuesday our 9th anniversary!

Another slow day of hanging around the house..... Fee seems a bit better- no fever but has a super short fuse. In the afternoon we went to target for anniversary running clothes for Maggie- then to island drive park to try using the remote cont hovercraft (Asher got it from the Hostetters's years back!) in the river. It was rainy and thundering but really fun. The thing worked but slowly compared to the speed on land. We made sailboats and rafts out of sticks and leaves and sent them down the river too.

-Fee's announcement of the day- I have 2 wienies!
-Asher and felix argued whether zero and infinity are numbers or just ideas- it freaked me out. They later made me feel better by saying they were ninjas who fart and burp at the same time.
-hazel said 'dad, where are you?' today.

Monday 7.12.10

Fee woke up with a fever overnight- and was hot and grumpy this am. We stayed around the house all day because F was sick and Asher didn't want to do anything but relax at home. I think the last few weeks have caught up with all of us. Carol came by after dinner with candy and headbands for the kids from japan.

Sunday 7.11.10

Morgan brown's b-day party at a park in ypsi- asher got stung by a bee on his foot. His first! He pulled the stinger out and iced it for a bit. Home for a short regroup then neighborhood party at hunt park.

sat. 7.10.10

went to hudson mills for a bike ride and play on the new play structure. Felix had his sword in his shirt and got caught (see photo). the kids are really tired and fee is a bit crazy. he told us
'animals cannot be doctors!' -

after a short break at home--- we went to the u of m intern picnic at island drive park. the boys were nuts! we made fishing poles and waided in the river...... til felix fell in the water- then they both swam. the water was warm and the air was hot!
