10.31.09 Halloween!

Maggie and the kids played around the house in the am while dad slept off felix' 5 am wake-up call. Then dad and kids ate spooky sandwiches in the fort. Dad to tjs for groceries-kids slept/watched scooby doo b4 claire's 2nd birthday party with all the neighborhood gang. We headed out trick or treating from there. The boys were so excited...... They didn't say they were cold though it was in the 40's by the end.

Asher--- 'this is my best Halloween ever'

Felix--- "here dad you can have the rest of my lollipop cuz it only has a little of my germs on it."

10.30.Friday

Took Asher to school- mrs rothman was viola swamp with wig and all- stayed on character the whole a.m. Felix marched into preschool in his pirate costume looking awesome- but wouldn't leave my side or play any games b/c he said he was scared- there were lots of parents there---. We ended up leaving because hazel was super hungry but wouldn't take her bottle. F said he wanted to leave so we all went home for a short hazel nap b4 heading right back out to pick up Asher.





In afternoon F & H slept while Asher & I played he man. All up for flashlight fun in basement and drawing pumpkin designs for carving after dinner....... Asher's rocket,,,, maggie's French alien,,,, and felix' tiger are sure to freak everyone out.

Also.....
Felix is trying to not say poopy face or poop nose......he called me 'mini-wheat eyes' today.
Hazel is crawling all around the house and bonks her head on doors and furniture every minute or so- which is followed by a super-angry raptor screach sound.

10.29.09 Thursday

Dropped Asher off at school in a thick fog of sleepiness and actual fog..... He was the snack person and was very proud to show the other kid that he could carry the juice by himself into school. Fee and hazel home for a hangout. Boys re-tried on costumes to prep for school parties tomorrow. Felix says he will be a pirate and Asher will wear his black suited spiderman get-up. Hazel might be a bride. Ella glass over from 3:30 til bedtime- boys traded off playing well with her one on one but poorly as a group. Managed to cut the boys hair- a bit short and uneven but free.

10.28.09 Wednesday

School drop-off for Felix was great today! Walked him up to class but left within 2 minutes with no complaints from the boy. Took hazel home for a short nap. Maggie home in afternoon- she and Asher walked to knights market for popsicles while fee & hazel slept and dad cemented postholes for privacy fence. It was incredibly soft and beautiful outside and the leaves were glorious.

Later all went to boys' first gymnastics class at champion gym. Felix needed lots of persuading at first but Asher held his hand and they buddied up and had a blast on trampolines and bars. There were a lot of tween girls practicing at the same time and hazel was fascinated with them. After class we stopped for pizza slices then mom and boys to preschool for family fun night and dad home to put hazel to bed.

H1Rose1 loves her mobility


Took fee and hazel to play at fee's preschool buddy milan's house-Johanna & mom there too.hazel had a blast- crawling about - fee actually let me leave to bring Asher there from school. Asher was tired and bratty and made Felix cry a lot so we left after homemade indian food for lunch-hazel ate a samosa, that judging by the 5-minute scream session that followed, was a bit spicy. Home 2 regroup and a short hazel nap then on to Chelsea for well-child check x's 3! No shots for anyone- only Felix got the h1n1 vaccine in the nose which he didn't mind at all. Maggie's work pal/officemate Kristy Brown is the kids' new dr. It was great! They loved her! Asher hit 50 lbs and 47.5 in tall-he's getting huge.

10.25.09 Sunday

Asher up at 4 am for no solid reason and didn't go back to bed--- led to a lazy am at home b4 heading to Farmington for lunch with Bubbi at Buddy's pizza. Home for bubble fun and raking. An exhausted asher laid on the couch and watched tv while fee played at Tom an carol's and hazel slept. Sunday dinner at the brock's with bleeding candles and Anita. The boys turned the lights off and scared everyone- really just Felix who kept turning the lights back on.

10.24.09 Saturday

Lots of indoor fun in the a.m. Asher was supposed to go to chuck e cheese for Kevin's bday party but it was cancelled due to a sick Kevin. Asher thought we should go and celebrate with out him but ended up going on a hike with Esther, sebby, Josh and boo in bird hills. In afternoon all 5 of us went to westgate library where a husky 10 yr old with his ears pierced (done at his mom's tatoo parlor) gave us a pretty impressive/yet creepy pitch about his babysitting skills.
On to plum mkt for treats then home for dinner b4 m & d out to kessler's for an adult party.
